We spent the day hiking (without snow-shoes...big mistake...Corey's idea) from Horseshoe Road north to the property. Again, we got lost. We ended up east and north and not even close to our desired location. I believe at this point we have fine tuned our ability to hike to all the places we don't need to go. Anyway we got a good look at some swampland. We explored private property we probably didn't belong on and at no time did we run into any red-necks with firearms. Overall, a good day.

While wandering about, we did run into a pen with two dead, half-eaten cows, two folding chairs, and a firepit. Believe me, I spend some time thinking about that one. In addition to our run ins with the partially consumed bovines, we were periodically stalked by red, white, and grey fox. I was thinking...something just isn't right here. We must have taken a left turn -- straight to the twilight zone.
We never did figure that one out, till

the next day when I was calling around to neighbors trying to a better picture of the property. The neighbor with the cows and the pens trains dogs to run down foxes. The dead cows were set out as winter fox food. The foxes are well cared for and they are set up such that they run through a culvert (that the dogs won't fit in) to get away. That way the foxes are around to train multiple dogs.
